geographical area of dynamic landscapes shaped by the Earth’s
history.
From Mt. Omuro to many other iconic landmarks, you can feel the
ancient forces that formed this region.
Spring brings the delicate beauty of the Kawazu cherry blossoms,
summer blankets Mt. Omuro in lush green, autumn is adorned with
silver grass and vibrant foliage, and in winter, the crystal-clear
night sky reveals a stunning array of stars.
“bekka izu” is nestled at the foot of Mt. Omuro, a uniquely shaped
mountain rising from the heart of Izu’s land.
From your room, you’ll enjoy an unparalleled view of this majestic
mountain.

DINING
Cuisine Terroir:
A New Culinary Journey.
Experience a new way to travel through food—ingredients that can
only be savored here, in this season, presented in dishes unique
to this place.
Our culinary concept is called "Cuisine Terroir."
Our chef personally visits markets and producers throughout Izu,
seeking out the finest seasonal ingredients. Each dish reflects
the flavors of the region and the stories behind the
ingredients, capturing the essence of Izu’s rich terroir on
every plate.
STAY
In the stillness,
listen to the whisper of the wind
and count the stars.
One of “bekka izu”’s greatest luxuries is its tranquility.
At midnight, as you gaze up at the sky, it feels as if the stars
themselves were softly speaking to you.
On the terrace, we've placed comfortable sofas where you can
unwind even at night.
Forget the hustle and bustle of the city and relax by the
flickering flames.
In the lounge, we’ve curated a collection of books on travel,
cuisine and more for you to enjoy.
Let your discovery of a good book become a cherished memory of
your stay.
A private hot spring,
all to yourself
—available 24 hours a day.
At “bekka izu”,
our bath features a natural hot spring
with continuously flowing,
fresh spring water.
The Ito-Onsen is known for its gentle waters,
which are both soothing and safe for children to enjoy.
Feel free to take your time and soak as often as you like,
at any hour.
Culinary Expertise and Hospitality,
Refined in Europe and Japan.
The chef and the manager of “bekka izu” honed their skills in
hotels and restaurants across Germany, France, and Japan before
being drawn to the natural beauty and warmth of the Izu region,
where they have now made their home.
Having lived and worked in various regions, they discovered the
unique charm of Izu and are eager to share its treasures with
more people.
They continuously study the local ingredients, history, and
traditions to offer a truly authentic experience.
At “bekka izu”, we invite you to relax as if you were in the
home of a close friend—feel at ease and enjoy your stay as if it
were your own second home.
Restore your mind and body
with a restful night’s sleep.
On the first floor, you’ll find a bedroom accommodating two
guests, while the second floor features a traditional Japanese
room for up to three guests.
We also have a desk corner available for those who need to
work.
We’ve selected high-quality bedding to ensure a restful sleep
experience. Enjoy a rejuvenating night, where you can fully
refresh and unwind.
Our chef is also learning to cultivate vegetables
in the garden.
Many of the vegetables used in our dishes are grown organically
in our own garden, free from any pesticides.
We cultivate a variety of seasonal vegetables in our
approximately 1,650 square meters of land.
We believe that connecting with the soil and experiencing the
changing seasons through our senses is reflected in our daily
cooking.
Experience comfort and ease with quality Japanese products.
We carefully selected our furnishings and amenities,
focusing on high-quality items
that are gentle on both people and the environment.
For instance,
our tea is freshly rolled leaves selected exclusively for “bekka
izu”
by "Baisa Nakamura" in Kyoto.
The loungewear is custom-ordered to
"Watanabe Textile," crafted from soft,
natural materials chosen from the finest threads.
Enjoy the soothing aroma of "Kuromoji,
" a fragrance sourced from the forests of Izu,
adding a touch of tranquility to your stay.
